Christelle Charbel, PhD
Courses Coordinator, Biology
I am an Assistant Professor and Coordinator of Biology at Polytech-Université La Sagesse. I hold a PhD in Physiology and Physiopathology from the Sorbonne University (Pierre et Marie Curie, UPMC, Paris-France), a Master’s degree in Functional Genomics and Proteomics and a BSc in Biology and Biochemistry from Saint Joseph University (USJ). My research focused on the ontogeny and characteristics of initiating cells in benign skin cancers with particular interest in understanding their developmental origin, molecular profile, and potential for transformation. In parallel with my academic and research activities, I have served as a member of the Technical Committee at the Lebanese Standards Institution (LIBNOR), where I contributed to the formulation and revision of national standards for detergents and cosmetic products, ensuring alignment with international regulations and safety protocols.
