On Friday, March 9, 2018, the Sagesse Faculty of Hospitality Management held their Open Doors event for final year high school students. 

The day opened with a welcome speech from the Dean, Dr. Tanios Kassis, inviting the students to spend the day in a genuine hospitality setting.  The students were then taken on a faculty tour, spending time in the wine lab, on-site restaurant, grand ballroom, and laundry while learning about the latest technology in hotels and restaurants.

After the tour, students attended a session in the demo lab, where they learned how to prepare basic dishes in an industrial kitchen.  A session on protocol and etiquette with an industry professional followed.  In addition, students spent time in the IT lab learning about hospitality trends and technology.

Lunch was served, and students were able to mingle with SHFM hospitality students and instructors in order to ask questions about the program and university life.   Students left with a hospitality gift bag in order to remember their special interactive day at the faculty.
