As part of the curriculum for the tourism course, the second year students went on a site visit to the National Museum as well as the Beiteddine Palace.  Over 30 students, led by their instructor, Ms. Carine Hattouni, toured Beirut’s largest cultural institution located in the heart of the capital.   After the museum tour, they stopped at the famed castle of Beiteddine.  Students were led on a guided tour of the complex which was built over a thirty year period by Emir Bechir El Chehab II, who ruled Mount-Lebanon for more than half a century.  Taking a mid-day break, they enjoyed an authentic Lebanese lunch in Deir el Qamar.   Upon the conclusion of the meal, the students explored the picturesque village (Al Midane) and Saydeh church.
