Cedrelle Azzam and Shana Farajallah, both third year students at the Sagesse Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management, were selected to represent the faculty at the YHS Summit in Lausanne in March of 2021.  Due to the current situation, the conference was held virtually.

There were many prominent speakers featured, including Mr. Peter Brennan, the VP of Performance, Integration and Operations Support EMEAA for IHG Hotels and Resorts;   Mr. Christian Clerc, President of Global Operations for Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts;  Ms. Maud Bailly, the CEO of Southern Europe at Accor; and Mr. Matthew Stephens, Managing Director at eHotelier.  In addition, the SFTHM students were actively engaged in a variety of activities, including a team project where they worked with other hospitality students from around the world. 

The Young Hoteliers Global Summit (YHS), held annually in Switzerland at Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne, engages students in activities and discussions related to trends, employment, and the future of the global hospitality industry. The 2021 Global Summit was titled, “A Macroscopic View: Rethink, Re-Sculpt, Rejuvenate.”
