SUMMARY:International Day of Radiology at the Faculty of Public Health
DESCRIPTION:The International Day of Radiology is celebrated on 8th November to honour the contributions of radiologists and medical imaging professionals\, highlighting the essential role of medical imaging and radiology in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. \nIn recognition of this day\, and as the proud home of the Department of Medical Imaging within our Faculty of Public Health\, we held a small  a gathering with Professor Diala El Khoury\, Dean of the Faculty\, Ms. Mirna Soueid\, programme coordinator\, as well as faculty members and students. \nWe were honoured to welcome Mr. Paul Makdessi\, President of the Lebanese Syndicate of Radiographers\, who\, in his speech\, emphasised the importance of staying hopeful and resilient during these challenging times. \nThank you for saving lives and enhancing care every day! \nHappy International Day of Radiology!

President Professor Georges Nehme\, accompanied by the university staff\, raised the Lebanese flag. It was followed by the singing of the Lebanese National Anthem.\nThe celebration concluded with a warm exchange of conversations over light refreshments\, highlighting the spirit of unity and pride in Lebanon’s heritage. \n  \n \n \n  \n  \n  \n  \n—————————————————————————————————————————\nJoin us to celebrate Lebanon’s Independence Day.\n\nDate: Thursday\, November 21st\nTime: 10 AM\nLocation: Flag Area (ساحة العَلَم)\n\nProgram:\n\nRaising of the Lebanese flag.\nWord of the President.\nMusical performance.\n\n\nAccording to weather forecasts\, the weather is expected to be nice.\nIn case of rain\, the flag raising will remain outdoors. Attendees are encouraged to have umbrellas on hand. The president’s word and the musical performance will take place indoors\, in the amphitheater hall.\n\nDuration of the ceremony: 45 minutes.
