DESCRIPTION:In a significant step to strengthen the connection between academia and the job market\, Université La Sagesse\, represented by its President\, Professor Georges Nehme\, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with TotalEnergies Marketing Lebanon\, represented by its Managing Director and Country Chair in Lebanon\, Mr. Adrien Béchonnet. The agreement aims to promote collaboration in the fields of professional internship and knowledge exchange. \n  \nUnder this partnership\, students of Université La Sagesse will have the opportunity to join specialized training programs within the company through the university’s Center for Career Development. These programs are designed to provide students with practical experience and meaningful engagement in real-world professional environments. \nThe signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Mario Macaron\, Vice President for Legal Affairs and Human Resources\, and Mr. Jean Claude Khoury\, Vice President for Public and Commercial Relations\, in addition to the affiliate’s team and several members of the university’s council. \nIn his speech\, Professor Nehme described the initiative as a milestone in the university’s vision to support students along their professional journey. He highlighted that partnering with global companies like TotalEnergies Marketing Lebanon offers students promising prospects to build their futures with confidence by experiencing authentic work environments and acquiring advanced skills. He added that the partnership reflects Université La Sagesse’s commitment to professional growth alongside academic education\, while also contributing to the creation of high-quality job opportunities for graduates. \nMr. Béchonnet\, in turn\, emphasized the importance of this collaboration with Université La Sagesse\, noting that TotalEnergies Marketing Lebanon has been operating in the country for over seventy years\, with activities covering a wide range of sectors\, including engineering\, law\, and business management. He explained that the MoU is part of the affiliate’s commitment to advancing sustainable development and empowering Lebanese youth through advanced internship and educational programs.
