The fireside chat took place on December 2nd, 2019 which focused on 21st Century Skills and featured three Lebanese impactful change makers. The speakers inspired our attendees and ignited hope during our first CPDC Fireside Chat on Employment Challenges.

This event aim was to discuss the challenges of employment in Lebanon and highlight projects and initiatives attempting to solve this increasing problem.

  • Financial/Economical crisis’s impact on Job market

  • Career Challenges and Employment

  • Soft Skills

  • Entrepreneurship

  • Civic Engagement

  • Internship Opportunities and Job Shadowing

We were indeed fortunate to have Abdallah Harfouch, Reine Abbas, and Randa Farah from three different arenas – economy and finance, tech and gaming, and business and HR.

Reine Abbas: Reine Abbas is the founder of Wixel Studios in 2008. It is first Indie gaming company in Lebanon and one of the first in the Middle East. She then founded Spica Tech Academy for kids and teens in 2014, targeting education – the fundamental and most important pillar in the gaming industry.

Abdallah Harfoush: Abdallah is the CEO at FOREX SPACE S.A.L, Founder at AH Financial Consultancy & EcoLearn Summit. He is an Economist and Financial Markets Analyst who has also given many talks and organized events to raise Financial Awareness.

Randa Farah: Founder of Lebtivity.com & I Have Learned Academy, as well as University instructor at USJ.

The Director of the CPDC Ms. Lara Al Arab thanked the speakers and attendees at the end of the session where she highlighted that this event was not meant to be a single CPDC event, but a starting point for the work that must be done to mitigate this problem once and for all. This will also give structure to our efforts to enhance the CPDC’s work.

Stay tuned for more upcoming events!
