As part of the curriculum for the tourism course, the second year students take part in a site visit.  This year’s excursion was to Saida and Tyre.  Led by their instructor, Ms. Carine Hattouni, the students toured the Sea Castle (built in the 13th century), the Old Souk, and the Khan El Franj in Saida.  On the way to Tyre, they stopped at the Temple of Eschmoun, an ancient place of worship dedicated the Phoenician god of healing.

In Tyre, they visited the Hippodrome, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and the Al Mina Sea Side ruins, dating back to third millennium BC.

Upon conclusion of the trip, they enjoyed an authentic Lebanese lunch with a view of the Mediterranean Sea.
