On Tuesday, December 20, the Faculty of Business Administration and Finance at Sagesse University held its Annual Faculty Meeting. The meeting was attended by about 120 Faculty members, members of the Faculty Council, Rector Fr. Khalil Chalfoun represented by Fr. Dominique Labaki (VP for Administration), and the Dean of the Faculty Professor Rock-Antoine Mehanna.  After the National Anthem, Dean Mehanna welcomed all Faculty members and presented the milestone achievements of the Business Faculty that transformed the Sagesse Business Faculty, in just few years, to become one of the top Business Faculties in Lebanon and in the region.  He also discussed the University new development projects and initiatives, announced the launching of the new majors and minors, such as the Petroleum and Energy Management, Global Business and Economic Strategy, International Economic Development and Sustainable Development, Financial Engineering, Financial Economics, among others.  Dean Mehanna stressed on the use of modern and applied pedagogical methods, such as the use of real case studies, coaching style for graduate students, simulations, and interactive e-learning platforms (e.g. Moodle).  Then, Dr. Jean Boulos talked on behalf of the Faculty Council and praised the excellent results of our graduates in the marketplace.  Next, each of the ten academic coordinators (Dr. Haykal, Dr. Slaiby, Jdg. Maalouf, Mr. Abi Aad, Mr. Geagea, Mr. Wehbe, Mr. Choueifaty, Mr. Pkay, Dr. Dagher, and Mr. Tadros) reported the curricular and extra-curricular activities held in their respective departments.  The Faculty Secretary, Mr. Breidy, reminded faculty members of the new proctoring and grade entry procedures.  Several faculty members engaged in a very constructive “Q & A” session and presented helpful suggestions.  The meeting was followed by a warm reception.
