On Thursday, November 2, 2023, Université La Sagesse (ULS) and the University Pastoral organized a Mass to mark the commencement of the Academic Year 2023–2024 at ULS Main Campus. The Mass was presided over by Rev. Fr. Joseph Nayel, General Chaplain of the ULS, assisted by Fr. Miled Abboud, Fr. Tanios Khalil, and Fr. Youssef Abi Zeid, in the presence of Prof Georges N. Nehme, President of ULS, as well as priests, deans, heads of departments, faculty members, administrative staff, and students.

During his sermon, Fr. Nayel emphasized that this day coincided with All Souls’ Day, a time to remember those who have passed away, especially our student Fadia Ghaleb Nassif. Fr. Nayel prayed that the Holy Spirit would guide and support the ULS community in fulfilling their responsibilities.

At the end of the Mass, President Prof. Georges Nehme and Dr. Sandra Ghosn, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, presented Fadia Ghaleb Nassif's Master's Diploma to her family in a touching tribute to her memory. Additionally, the University Pastoral introduced the theme that will guide their activities and mission during the Academic Year 2023-2024.
